Thursday and Sunday Music performance by Alex Navarro and Leslie Spencer
Los Angeles-based artist Leslie Spencer and Houston native Alex Navarro present a show of timeless love themes: standards, modern day classics and present-day love songs.
Leslie is a long time backing vocalist for Brian Setzer. She also toured with Louis Prima Jr. and the Witnesses and has appeared on Broadway. Her latest release, “Sing Out”, was produced by Grammy Award-winning Kevin McKendree. She is paired with her dear friend and music director, Alex Navarro.
Alex recently returned to his hometown of Houston after decades in NYC & LA. He has quickly become a highly sought after music director and pianist, having conducted shows for Theatre Under The Stars. Navarro has also appeared with the Houston Jazz Orchestra featuring original arrangements.
Friday and Saturday Music performance by Jeremy Joseph
If the soulfulness of Sam Cooke or John Legend met with the impassioned performance style of Nina Simone, it would sound like vocalist / pianist, Jeremy Joseph. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Jeremy grew up surrounded by musicians and has been singing since he could speak. He holds a Music Composition degree from Houston Baptist University, and has been commissioned to compose/arrange music for several area artists and ensembles. His creative influences span the musical spectrum and are beautifully reflected with great nuance in his vocal and pianistic style. Not only is he supremely versatile and talented, but his warm, expressive, and accessible performance style leaves audiences wanting more. Jeremy is a rare talent and artist here in Houston who is sought after to perform at some of the city's most exclusive venues and rooms.
